Abstract

The objective of this research is to reflect on the relevance that the formation of values in law students at the Tomas Frías Autonomous University in Bolivia has for the practice of the profession. The research was developed under a mixed approach (quantitative-qualitative), with a survey of 100 schoolchildren from the first and second year of the aforementioned degree and a structured interview with 10 teachers. The main results highlight that students recognize that higher education contributes to human and social development. The teachers agreed that education in values is a systemic, multidimensional, intentional and integrated process that is realized through the curricular and extracurricular. It is concluded that it is pertinent for the students of this science so that when they practice they comply not only with the social commitment to administer justice and do so with responsibility and suitability, but also that they are, among other things, honest, supportive, respectful and humble; attached to the social, moral and legal norms established by society.
