Abstract

Magneto-electric composites (1-x)BaFe12O19 - xNa0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (x=0.10 and 0.30) were prepared by solid state reaction method. Structural analysis of the prepared composites was done examined by XRD at room temperature. Rietveld refinement of XRD data confirmed the presence of constituent phases in the present composites. Structural parameters and unit cell volume of samples differ with composition. The variation of dielectric constant (ε′) and dielectric loss (tanδ) with frequency has been studied in the range of 100Hz to 6MHz at room temperature. The dielectric studies demonstrate the dispersive behavior of ε′ and tanδ in the low frequency region which may be ascribed to the Maxwell Wagner interfacial polarization and Koop’s two layer model. The magnetic behavior of composites was determined by M-H hysteresis loop.
