Strengthen the connotation constouction for improving the training quality of medical postgraduates

Abstract

Objective To discuss the ways of improving the quality of postgraduate cultivation.Methods In order to improve the quality of postgraduate education,Xiamen University Zhongshan Hospital strengthed the construction of discipline, raised the overall strength of the hospital, trained a group of high qualified faculty, and combined the medicine with clinicd teaching. Results With the improvement of overall strength of the hospital, the quality of postgraduate training has been improved, a lot of qualified professionals for medical institutions had been cultivated in our hospital. Conducted from 2002 to 2007, postgraduate students participated in 60% of the projects affiliated to science and technology progress award and medical achievement award in our hospital. Meanwhile, postgraduate education promoted the further development of the hospital and a group of highly qualified instructors had been built to enhance the hospital's scientific and academic level. Conclusions The development of medical postgraduate education lies in the content through the construction of hospitals to promote medical education and the substantive question is to develop the hospital by both teaching and learning content Key words: Postgraduate students; Cultivation quality; Hospital; Connotation construction; Discussion
