Homestay is important to be developed so that visiting tourists can stay in the village of Denai Lama so that there will be an increase in the length of stay of tourists in the tourist village of Denai Lama which is an increase in tourist spending (spending power) in the tourist village. The existence of public toilets, facilities and infrastructure, sufficient parking space, markings and directions as well as the CHSE health protocol (Cleanliness, Hygiene, Sanitation, and Environment) are important to note. Cooperatives should be formed by involving the community in order to further develop the village. Another thing that has not been optimally implemented but is no less important to develop Denai Lama Tourism Village, one of the tourist attractions is Branding, Advertising (Ads) and Selling (Sales Mission). Denai Lama Village has branded its village as a Tourism Village with Educational Tourism, but does not yet have a slogan/tagline that tourists can remember. This paper focused on the educational function in agriculture in relation to educational tourism in agriculture. An understanding of the educational function of agriculture can provide evidence to support educational tourism in agriculture, which is now attracting growing attention. This attention is an outgrowth of the rapid change in modern society that has taken people away from their traditional connections with their agrarian heritage and food production.Despite the mounting expectations with regard to the educational function of agriculture, this function has not been fully explored empirically. The author considers this educational function as a new role that agriculture can play in society in addition to the traditional role of food production; therefore it should be clarified from an empirical aspect.First, as a demand side examination, we briefly characterized the educational tourism conducted in elementary and junior high schools in Japan by focusing on school trip programs.Second, as a supply-side examination, this paper examined empirically how the educational function has been practiced in Japan by focusing on the Educational Dairy Farm program. Results of a questionnaire survey conducted by the author showed that operators of the Educational Dairy Farms gained satisfaction from their educational activities that allowed children and urbanites to learn of the close connection between food and life, which is often forgotten in the busy modern society.Further, the educational function in agriculture provides opportunities not only for visitors, but also for the operators themselves to experience this new role of agriculture with a sense of satisfaction and local pride.Nevertheless, these educational services have not yet become economically viable. Therefore, cohesive local support measures should be taken to raise social recognition of educational tourism in agriculture.

Bandung Regency Regional Regulation Number 7 of 2020 regarding the development of 100 tourism villages does not explicitly regulate the governance mechanism of tourism villages. Effective governance requires the involvement of individuals as local creators who are capable of initiating and sustaining tourism village management. This study aims to identify the qualities of local creators in driving tourism village governance and determining the sustainability of tourism village communities in Bandung Regency. This research employs a qualitative approach using primary data through observation, interviews, and focus group discussions, as well as secondary data obtained from village records. The informants consist of 23 individuals analyzed at the individual level. Data analysis includes the stages of data reduction, data display, verification, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that local initiators with strong leadership, education, experience, capacity, and innovative initiatives serve as local creators capable of mobilizing tourism village governance mechanisms. They operate through penta-helix collaboration, role-sharing dialogues, and profit distribution to ensure community sustainability. Community sustainability is marked by regional and national achievements based on indicators such as increasing tourist numbers, economic gains, and culturally and environmentally based development. Local creators and governance structures interact dynamically to ensure the long-term sustainability of tourism village communities. In conclusion, competent local creators act as key agents in driving adaptive and transformative governance mechanisms that ensure the sustainability of rural tourism communities in Bandung Regency.

The role of digital innovation, local wisdom, and human resources in developing Gayo coffee educational tourism in Takengon, Indonesia

The aim of this study is to integrate three strategic dimensions, namely digital innovation, local wisdom, and human resource quality, into the development of educational tourism. The research introduces a new perspective by examining eco-educational tourism in the organic Gayo coffee farming sector in Indonesia. Data were obtained from 150 respondents, including eco-tourism actors and managers, coffee farmers, tourism-based micro, small, and medium enterprises, visitors of educational coffee tourism, and other tourism stakeholders. The findings show that tourist attractions, digital innovation, and human resource quality significantly contribute to the development of educational tourism. However, digital innovation and tourist attractions are not yet fully optimized to enhance destination attractiveness. Tourist attractions mediate the relationship between human resource quality and educational tourism development, but they do not mediate the relationships involving digital innovation or local wisdom. In general, agricultural educational tourism can be applied to various types of commodities. Nevertheless, tourism operators should carefully integrate local wisdom into the design of tourist attractions to ensure cultural authenticity and strengthen visitor engagement.
