Abstract

This research is motivated by looking at the efforts made by school principals in improving the performance of educators, because educators as people who are responsible for the educational process, of course must have good performance. carried out by the principal in improving the performance of educators in aspects of planning, implementation, evaluation in learning and carrying out guidance tasks. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data sources of this research are the principal, teacher council, employees and students of MAN Lima Puluh Kota . Data collection techniques using interview techniques, documentation and observation. Data analysis techniques through qualitative analysis, namely; Reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that: the efforts made by the principal in the planning aspect are providing motivation, socialization, workshops, evaluation of learning tools, rewards and punishments, and comparative studies. (2) the aspects of learning implementation are improving discipline, providing examples, forming a supervision team, scheduling supervision, forming a student achievement improvement team (TPPS), conducting coaching and training as well as comparative studies. (3) the evaluation aspect is to examine and request an assessment report, form an examination committee, an evaluation team, and bring in instructors or a team of experts/experts.
