Abstract

The storytelling, one of the most used methods in the instructive-educational activity in kindergarten, brings children closer to the world of words through imagination. Among the many benefits that storytelling brings to children’s life, there is the improvement of the language to the stage of a functional tool that allows children to express messages accurately, nuanced and rich in different communicational situation. In this study we aim at identifying the structural components of this method: characteristics, stages, tools used, specific forms, advantages, when used by teachers for preschool children language development. We will also offer a series of suggestions to use in kindergarten activities.
