Introduction

The STEAM learning approach in the context of Early-Childhood Education is still a new discourse. In the context of early-childhood education, the use of the STEAM education is seen as a form of academic-oriented learning (Dell’Erba, 2019; Sawangmek, 2019) This learning is considered to prioritize academic education rather than child development. Such learning practices are a concern among academics, policy makers and practitioners in Indonesia (Wang et al, 2018).
