Abstract

Vibration signal analysis is an effective live method to detect transformer winding and core mechanical condition, but the vibration characteristics of transformer is complicated. Therefore, it is very important to analyze the vibration signal of transformer with different voltage levels. Based on the analysis of transformer core and winding vibration mechanism, the vibration signals of 77 power transformers running in the field are measured by the vibration measurement system, and then the statistics are carried out. The voltage levels of tested transformer covers 110kV~750kV. The change rules of vibration parameters, including fundamental vibration amplitude, main frequency, fundamental frequency proportion and the spectrum complexity, are analyzed. Based on lots of test data, the range and probability distribution of vibration parameter for different voltage-levels transformer are obtained. In this paper, the vibration characteristics of transformers with different voltage levels are given, and the research results are of great significance to the application of vibration signal analysis method in the field.
