Abstract

Abstract Recently in some primary and middle schools, some teachers set up stalls and sold bread, soft drinks, popsicles, hard-boiled eggs, and so on to students the moment classes were over. Other teachers took "odd jobs" outside the schools. Some schools have set up business companies. These phenomena have been the subject of much public debate. Should primary and middle school teachers do business? Should they take up remunerative work or have an additional job? This problem has caused general concern among the educational and other circles in society.
