Abstract
Abstract China's education for deaf-mutes and the blinddates back to the 1880s. In 1946, prior to liberation, the whole nation had some 40 schoolsfor deaf-mutes and the blindwith a total enrollment of 2,000. With the establishment of new China, education in this field made rapid progress.
