Abstract
Scientifically-methodical questions of forecasting of characteristics of complex systems (СS) are examined. Necessary definitions are brought. The concept of forecasting system as basic scientifically-practical device of researches СS is entered. Its basic contents and features of process of forecasting of characteristics СS are considered. Research of spasmodic changes of characteristics СS is carried out. Formal definition of jump and a necessary condition of its realization is entered.
