Abstract The lack of standardization of certain factors which enter into the design and use of cylinder printing presses is discussed in a general manner, particularly relative to the standardization of plates and bases, diameters of cylinders, depth of impression surface below cylinder bearers, height of bed bearers, sheets, forms, and names of parts.
