Some observations on copper-zinc separation from complex sulphide ores

Abstract

Some observations and new approaches for selective flotation of chalcopyrite and sphalerite from complex ores are outlined. The novel approaches include: collectorless flotation, nitrogen flotation, reverse flotation, column flotation and combinations thereof. Results are presented for investigations on ores from Kidd Creek, Mattabi and Les Mines Selbaie.
