Abstract
In the conditions of changing climate, the features of the winter wheat selection for resistance against frosts and the effect of ice crusts are investigated. On the basis of transgressive variation, the methodology of the creation of highly productive winter-hardy varieties that involves the parents possessing the intermediately winter hardiness was developed. The features of the increase in the resistance of new varieties against the ice crusts by a selection were revealed.
