Solutions to increase the ability to organize experiential learning activities for students in primary education, Dong Thap University

Abstract

Recently, the ability to organize experiential learning activities (AOELA) for primary school students with many diverse and rich forms is one of the output requirements that gets significant attention at primary pedagogical education institutions in Vietnam. The author conducted the surveys by questionnaires and open-ended interviews to evaluate the effectiveness of AOELA of primary education students at Dong Thap University. The results show that there are several limitations and challenges in AOELA of the examined students. Several solutions to improve AOELA of students in primary education, such as: raising awareness; enhancing self-study, self-research abilities; increasing the conditions of materials, financial resources, informative documents for the organizing experiential learning activities; implementing regularly and promoting the key role of students. Empirical results show that student’s capacity is continuously enhanced through the implementation of the above solutions.
