Abstract

The software and hardware complex for monitoring passenger flows of urban transport is presented, designed to collect and analyze data on the congestion of bus stops and buses of the route network of the city of Krasnoyarsk. The analytical information provided by the complex is aimed at improving the quality of transport services through a more accurate quantitative assessment of passenger flows and their distribution within the city. A passenger detector based on a high-resolution night vision camera and a machine vision system has been developed to solve the problems of counting people in the stopping point area. Software has been implemented that allows analyzing the collected information from detectors and providing the presentation of the analysis results in the form of reports for users who make decisions on optimizing the city›s transport infrastructure. The practical result of the work is the approbation of the created software and hardware complex on the transport network of Krasnoyarsk.
