Abstract

We studied the bilayer heterostructures with the different consequence of the Ba0.4Sr0.6TiO3 and Ba0.8Sr0.2TiO3 layers grown on the single-crystal MgO and Si substrates. The thermodynamic theory for the heterostructures was developed. Based on the experimental data, we determined the thermal deformation parameters in the Ba0.4Sr0.6TiO3 and Ba0.8Sr0.2TiO3 layers, forming the bilayer structures. These parameters are used to plot the temperature dependence of the soft modes in each layer.
