Abstract
The purpose of this work is the complex sociocultural characteristics of the commanders of units of special approach on the territory of Orel province in 1922. The information about the age of commanders, their educational level, the extent of their military training, office and battle experience, family status is given. The author comes to the conclusion that men at the age between 25 and 30, family (as a rule), with primary education and military training, sufficient office and battle experience stood at the head of Orel ChON at the moment of its final organizational formation.
