Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explore direct and indirect liability of social work supervisors. Specific case law is examined as it applies to malpractice liability-enterprise liability, educational malpractice, negligent hiring, negligent supervision, and borrowed servant rule. Case examples are used to illustrate areas of risk. Strategies for risk reduction are also presented.
