Abstract

This study is an investigative look into the possibility of providing support to tourists visiting a foreign land. Some technologies enable tourists to highlight famous tourist routes and circuits through the use of data visualization, where a tourist can effectively access the shared data on a specific location, and not only know the famous attractions locally but also what other tourists feel about them and how to divulge in local festivities through a smart tourism model. This study analyzed the potential of smart tourism among tourists and how such technologies have evolved. It was identified that smart tourism has a massive appeal among the tourists and can enhance the destination's appeal if they implement smart solutions. This study provides a firsthand review of the tourist's preferences and the potential of smart tourism. In the present study, only 66 tourist opinions about smart tourism were analyzed, and conclusions were drawn. Bigger data may generate a different outcome; therefore, this area needs to be explored in further study.
