Abstract

Simultaneous second-harmonic generation and electric-optic coupling in a periodic or quasi-periodic optical superlattice has been demonstrated experimentally. The output of the second harmonic can be controlled by the DC electric field or the temperature. The results offer us a way to manipulate the nonlinear interactions.
