Abstract

This work presents a comparison between a study on a hybrid solution composed of multi-agents system and GRASP techniques and other solution using Simulated Annealing applied to the timetabling problem. Specifically, we study the efficiency of these methods in dealing with the problem of scheduling vehicles in urban public transport, with the aim of estimating the appropriate number for a given set of bus lines. This work was developed in cooperation with AGERGS (State Agency for Regulation of Public Services of Rio Grande do Sul), in the estimation of variable Fleet Effective, it has important implications for the determination of efficient cost and return on capital in the processes of the tariff revision of the transport sector
