Abstract
Twenty-one species of silica-scaled chrysophytes have been found in nine collecting sides in Northern and Central Bohemia. The following species were new records for the Czech Republic: Mallomonas alata f., alata, M. annulata, M. oviformis, M. parvula, M. striata and Spiniferomonas trioralis. The total number of species known in various localities in the Czech Republic is 41. The autecology of each species was discussed, the majority of investigated species were indifferent or alkaliphilic, only three of them were acidophilic (Mallomonas ouradion, Synura echinulata, S. sphagnicola).
