Abstract

Social communication as well as virtual space is constantly developing and anchoring in popular culture. It is an indispensable element of everyday life of young people. The lack of limitations in mediated communication in virtual worlds, the Internet is conducive to the possibility of exemplifying graphics, emoticons, which can take various forms of signs and symbols. The aim of the text is to present an anthropological reflection embedded in the educational context and concerning the phenomenon of expressing a purposeful, created, reproduced exhibition and symbolic replication enabling quick, easy communication between individuals. The main means of communication between individuals are primarily widely available and easy to use social media, where peculiar signs and symbols are used. The denotations and connotations mediated in virtual spaces are heterogeneous, fluid, which means that they may not be properly understood outside of them. The subject of consideration are virtual exhibitions of signs and symbols used by young people in communication.
