Abstract

View Large Image Figure Viewer Personal digital assistants (PDAs) have been described as essential to today's nurse practitioner (NP) practice as the stethoscope. In the past, students carried notes, reference manuals, drug books, and patient information in overstuffed pockets. With the palm-sized PDA, a vast amount of information can be organized and contained within a compact and portable electronic device that provides immediate access to current clinical reference material at the point of care.
