Severe Plastic Deformation - A Review

Abstract

Severe plastic deformation is one of the methods widely used for producing a fine-grained structure throughout the volume. Different SPD methods have been used for producing a fine-grained and ultra-fine grained structure which effectively alters the microstructure and in turn improve the properties. This paper deals with the different methods, process of SPD techniques for producing nanograin structure for different alloys and factors that impact on the change in the nature of microstructure
