Abstract
One of the famous shopping areas in Thailand is located in Hatyai, Songkhla province, especially with Nora Plaza, which is a shopping center that sells clothing, bags, accessories and electronic products at affordable prices. Nora Plaza is a target area for local people to shop at low prices, as well as for tourists who want to buy souvenirs from Thailand. The program highly focused on developing skills including the communication, customer service, problem solving, as well as cultural understanding. As an addition to provide valuable hands-on experience, it allows the students to contribute to the local economy in Thailand as well as enhancing the overall shopping experience for tourists and shoppers alike. The method utilized in this research is qualitative research, through the employment of interview and observation. The results indicated that through these programs, students not only gain practical skills but also contribute to the preservation and promotion of local traditions, craftsmanship, and sustainable economic practices. In this context, students may participate in a variety of activities such as assisting local artisans in the production of traditional crafts, supporting small businesses in marketing locally made products, and engaging in community-based tourism initiatives that showcase the cultural and historical significance of the region.
