Abstract

The article is dedicated to the Oryol front-line poet Alexei Vasilyevich Pakhomov (1924–1998), an active participant in the Battle of Leningrad. In the center of all his work are themes of war, historical memory, genuine courage. The poet's word sounds harsh and truthful, it has been suffered through all the years of the soldier's stay at the front. That is why, when you read these poems, you empathize with the author, you go on the attack with him, you grieve for the dead, you rejoice at your own news from home. Meanwhile, the poetry of A.V. Pakhomov and his life are not yet limited to military themes, and they are fraught with a lot of unusual things.
