Abstract

The electrification of the society has a direct impact in the stability and reliability of the electrical grid, with a major focus in highly urbanised areas, making it more propense to faults and other disturbances. The procedures to fully renew or update these types of assets, namely underground installations, are quiet often time consuming and costly. Therefore, consumers fed by these circuits are negatively experiencing a quality of supply that might not be stable enough.
