Abstract

In this article, the problems of mortality and life expectancy of Russian regional population of working age group are analyzed by case of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Investigation of working-age population mortality has a high practical significance because it can help determine effective way of demographic policy for decreasing mortality rate. Along with other social and economic conditions, self-preserving behavior has great impact on life expectancy not only for Russia, but also for developed countries. The results of conducted sociological research demonstrate topicality of investigating self-preserving behavior peculiarities for male and female in working-age group. Particularly, questions related to working-age population opinions about expected and desirable life expectancy in the case of welfare conditions are analyzed in this paper.
