Abstract

Domestic water purifiers (WPs) are becoming very popular for refining drinking water in the home. There is no disputing that water becomes scarce, and available water sources are under significant strain. Even though most groundwater resources are readily polluted, it is vital to have a water filter at home. When it comes to water filtration, RO water purifiers are fantastic. This analysis presents a simple multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methodology based on the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method to choose a household water purifier (WP). Theimportance of weights was calculated using the Entropy weight method (EWM) considering objective preferences. The TOPSIS-Entropy technique was used to determine the ranking order. The findings revealed that MCDM approaches for selecting WPs are beneficial. The study’s peculiarity is that it uses TOPSIS-Entropy MCDM approaches to prioritize WP selection.
