SELECTED ISSUES OF ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION OF MEDICAL WORKERS ON THE BASIS OF THE BLOKHIN INSTITUTE OF HEALTH MANAGEMENT

Abstract

Successful implementation of the state program «Health Development» requires a high level of competence in the strategic development of medical organizations and the healthcare industry from managerial personnel. In the current practice in the healthcare system, a person with experience in medical work is often appointed to the position of head, and he has to acquire managerial knowledge and skills directly in the process of activity. The goal of training managerial personnel in healthcare is to master uniform standard professional competencies, which should become the basis of educational programs for additional professional education in all educational organizations. Target. Analysis of the educational activities of the GAUDPO “Institute of Health Management named after A.I. A.B. Blokhin» for the implementation of additional professional education in the field of healthcare. Materials and methods. The study used regulatory legal documents that regulate the issues of training and continuous development of managerial personnel in the healthcare sector, methods of systemic and logical analysis. Analyzed, grouped and statistically processed the results of a survey of students of additional professional education programs in the specialty «Health Organization and Public Health» (255 questionnaires). Results. The actual practice of the activities of medical organizations requires the improvement of approaches to the training of healthcare organizers. The Institute is actively working to develop relevant programs for additional professional education and filling the labor market of the Sverdlovsk region with professional personnel in the field of healthcare. Conclusion. An analysis of the implementation of additional professional education programs by the Institute showed that against the background of mandatory professional retraining programs of 500 hours or more, short-term programs are gaining popularity, allowing them to acquire and “hone” relevant knowledge, skills and abilities. All the main trends of modern additional professional education are implemented by the Institute, taking into account the requests of the main participants in the educational process and the requirements of the health management body — the Ministry of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region.
