Abstract
Sketching is an interview technique whereby an eyewitness is asked to draw parts of what they experienced, while also telling in their own words what happened. Sketching is a beneficial tool for investigative interviewers because it improves their comprehension of eyewitness accounts beyond just listening. Seeing a sketch of the interviewee’s recall at the same time as hearing the experience appears to be the most effective approach – this is known as a concurrent sketch.
