Abstract

The kinetics of sedimentation of titanium dioxide suspension in aqueous and water-salt media is studied in the presence of high-molecular-weight flocculants — polyacrylamide and ionic (anionic and cationic) acrylamide copolymers. Data are obtained on the influence of flocculant concentration, the chemical nature of repeating units in polymer chains of acrylamide (co)polymers, and the order of the addition of active components on the sedimentation characteristics of titanium dioxide suspension.
