Abstract
Wei Jiangong, secretary of the Fuyang Education College Party Committee, graduated in 1975 as a crop-planning major from the agricultural school of Suxian County, Anhui Province, and later worked in the popularization of agrotechniques in Haoxian County. From 1980 on, he became successively Haoxian County's deputy chief of the agricultural bureau, its deputy magistrate, secretary of its party committee, and secretary of the municipal party committee of Haozhou. In May 1987 he became secretary Fuyang Education College Party Committee. In November 1987, toward the end of the reform of titles for teachers and other staff in the institutions of higher learning in Anhui Province, Wei Jiangong decided to apply for the title of senior agronomist.
