Abstract
Viral load data from eight symptomatic COVID-19 patients were modeled by means of a three-variable virus dynamics model. The model was transferred into a three-dimensional amplitude space model and the unstable amplitude and eigenvector were identified. As expected by theoretical considerations, it was observed that the virus dynamics in all patients in the initial stage followed closely the unstable eigenvector. In this context, it is argued that the unstable eigenvector acts as order parameter that determines the relative changes of the relevant cell species.
