Abstract
In mid-October 2023, the former leader of the German Left, Sarah Wagenknecht announced the creation of a non-profit organization BSW – Für Vernunft und Gerechtigkeit e.V. Thus, the idea of a new protest party, voiced by her in September 2022, began to realize itself. The task of Sarah and her team is to successfully complete the registration procedure in the shortest possible time to register their “party product” for elections to the European Parliament. Results of these elections will indicate whether this “project of the century” might become a success. The author analyzes history of its appearance and prospects for implementation, as well as the possible consequences for the left party “Die Linke”.
