Abstract
On April 5-7, 2023, French President E. Macron and Head of the European Commission U. von der Leyen paid an official three-day visit to China. The article presents opinions of European and Chinese experts and diplomats about the visit. Its results are analyzed, including the results of negotiations with the leader of China and between Chinese and French entrepreneurs. Prospects of cooperation between China and the European Union in general and France in particular are assessed in the economic and political spheres.
