Abstract
No presente ensaio, lemos Salón de belleza (1994), do escritor mexicano Mario Bellatin, a partir de um olhar voltado para o funcionamento do Moridero enquanto uma comunidade de morte. Na tensão entre um gesto e uma gestão, assim como na manutenção de uma continuidade através da conversão de um espaço de beleza num espaço de morte, investiga-se o modo como comunidade e morte se articulam no texto.
