Abstract
The article gives an overview of recent scientific works devoted to the unresolved problems of diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of acute bronchitis in children. The authors cover etiological, pathogenetic, diagnostic and therapeutic approaches of this nosology. A concise overview provide insight into the most recent results of highly reliable studies and meta-analyzes on the efficacy and safety of Pelargonium sidoides extract (EPs7630) – the drug Umkalor in the treatment of acute bronchitis in pediatric practice.
