Abstract

Objective To investigate the role of nursing intervention on patient's satisfaction and comprehension with daily fee list. Methods 456 patients were grouped randomly into two groups, including experimental group (231 eases) and control group (225 eases) . Those in the experimental group experienced the nursing intervention when given hospital fees list while the control group was not. All patients underwent the test by questioning papers and the results of satisfaction and comprehension with the fee list were recorded. Results Compared with the control group, the satisfaction degree in the experimental group increased significantly and the questions raised by patients about the fees and the frequency of explanation by nurses were reduced significantly (P < 0. 01 ) . Conclusion Nursing intervention after distributing hospital fees list can improve the quality of medical service and patient's satisfaction.
