Abstract

The role of student placements in developing the competences useful in professional work This article aims to present the role and value of student work placements as seen from the perspective of both the student and the employer in terms of desirable and useful competencies for employment. This illustrative article examines the role played by student work placements in building students’ practical skills. It emphasises the fundamental importance of placements as a link between theoretical learning and concrete practical skills. The presentation of these perspectives also makes it possible to outline an area for deepening cooperation between the university and employers.
