Abstract

The chapter is describing the development process and final form of set of roadmaps aimed at aligning IT solutions used in organizations with chosen management methods requirements in order to boost the employee’s commitment and organizational performance. The set of roadmaps is based on the operationalization of IT reliability proposed and verified in the monograph as the indicator of IT—business alignment. The main aim of their development is to fulfill the existing research gap and show that proposed model has the potential to close the gap between theory and practice, which exists because of poor adaptability of imprecise IT reliability models which were based on fixed assumptions and combined effects of random variables (from variety of fields) on IT reliability. It considers three different management methods: Controlling, Business Continuity Management, High Commitment Management, in the light of their sensitivity for IT solutions support. The proposed set of roadmaps should be treated as proposition of alignment silver bullet for those management methods and an effort to indicate what is the best way for organization to boost the value, which it is gaining from IT solutions support.
