Abstract
Introduction: Signet ring cell carcinoma is a rare and highly malignant subtype of urachal carcinoma, an already rare type of bladder malignancy. Case Report: We present a case of a 55-year-old male with mucus-like umbilical discharge and a palpable mass with an indeterminate workup found to have signet ring cell carcinoma after surgical intervention. Two months later, recurrence was suspected, and additional surgical intervention was performed. Conclusion: This case emphasizes the challenges in diagnosis, importance of early diagnosis and intervention, and the need for a standardized therapeutic regimen.
