Abstract
Analyses of the green-line intensity (Fe XIV) for 1947–1970 suggest that the corona is organized on a very large scale. Long-lived structures do exist with the following characteristics: 1) rigid rotation up to ±60° in latitude, 2) correlation with the large-scale solar magnetic pattern. They develop essentially as longitudinal persistent features, close to the boundaries of the solar magnetic sectors.
