Abstract

This article explores a midwife’s experience of returning to work after pregnancy loss. It discusses types of pregnancy loss, support for women and birthing people who have experienced pregnancy loss returning to work, guidance for employers to create supportive workplace environments and how this support can be utilised for healthcare professionals working in maternity and gynaecology. It finishes with personal insight into being a midwife who has experienced pregnancy loss and their advice for caring for yourself in the workplace.
