Abstract
Early election to the lower house of the Cortes Generales (Parliament) was held in Spain on July 23, 2023. The author analyzes its results, which are of paramount importance for the internal political processes in the country and its foreign policy. It is the Congress of Deputies (lower house) that approves by vote a new government of the country for the next four-year term.
