Abstract

Scapulohumeral periarthritis is the affection that raises some of the most serious problems of functional recovery, as it is found in about 80% of the illnesses of the shoulder. This condition causes pain and movement restriction. Scapulohumeral periarthritis means any medical condition characterized by pain from painful inflammation of the soft parts around the shoulder articulation. The aim is to evaluate the systematic application of physiotherapeutic methods and procedures to restore diminished or lost functional capacity in patients diagnosed with scapulohumeral periarthritis. The evaluation of patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis was carried on within a complex recovery program, individualized, depending on the stage of affection, the age and gender of the patient, theorizing and stage of evolution of the disease. The kinetic treatment aimed to repel pain, to gain joint mobility, to gain strength, ability and stability.
