Abstract

In the study was evaluated the ecological state of the waters of the EMERALD site "Pădurea Hânceşti" and the neighboring areas. It was found that the water from the springs and wells meets the drinking water requirements, except for the nitrate content of the water from the well in Mereşeni village (282 mg/dm3, exceeding 5,6 times the CMA) and in the well from Lăpuşna village (90 mg /dm3 (exceeding the CMA by 1,8 times), where the content of sodium and potassium also exceeds the CMA by about 3,6 times. The value of the Trophic Status Index (TSItot) indicates that the trophic status of the lakes under study presents mesotrophic and eutrophic characteristics. The results the study demonstrates that the surface waters are medium-polluted, being good/satisfactory for irrigation.
