Abstract
In April this year the Party Central Committee issued the "Notice on Transmitting the 'Summary of the Panel Discussion on Work in Xizang.'" Later in May Comrade Hu Yaobang, general secretary of the CCP Central Committee, and Comrade Wan Li, secretary of the Secretariat, led the Central Work Group in making an on-the-spot investigation of Xizang and gave some important instructions. The broad masses of Xiang people were filled with exultation. They said Comrades Hu and Wan's talks tallied with the realities there and regarded the Party Central Committee's instructions this time as a milestone. In the spirit of the Party Central Committee's instructions, I investigated and studied things in Xizang over a two-month period and acquired some understanding about our work there. Right now I would like to discuss my understanding in the following seven aspects.
